InstaARTS are free LIVE online classes with professional rostered teaching artists. Students in grades 3 – 6 are invited to discover their inner artist through a survey of art mediums including visual art, poetry, movement, music, and theater. Classes will meet for forty minutes via Zoom.

Your free registration admits you to all course times. Classes for grades 3-6 are a mix of all art forms.
The Fall courses run on Wednesdays from 4:00 PM to 4:40 PM on the following dates:

The Super You!
October 14, 2026
Students will explore popular superheroes and the traits that make them heroic, then create their own original hero by developing an origin story, superpowers, costume, and special equipment. Students can draw their own character as we sketch together on Zoom.
Materials
- 3 sheets of paper (any kind of paper is fine: printer paper, notebook or sketchpad paper)

What Do You Hear? Sound Poems with Dawn Leas

We’ll get loud and quiet as we explore the world of sound and words that sound like what they describe, also known as onomatopoeia. We’ll read, listen to, and discuss poems built by onomatopoeia. We’ll brainstorm, write, and read – sound effects included – our own poems to learn how words can make us hear a poem
Exploring Indian Classical Dance: Movement, Language, and Storytelling

This lesson introduces an Indian classical dance style, showcasing a new culture for students. They will learn terms in a different language, be introduced to a distinct movement vocabulary, and explore storytelling techniques used in the dance form.
Colors in Perspective
November 4, 2026
This lesson introduces students to the primary colors and shows how mixing them creates the secondary colors. Students then apply their color knowledge to a simple perspective drawing, using one-point perspective to create depth in their artwork.
